Our terms of service

1. This agreement must be accepted by the stager/realtor prior to placing an order with the decor hub during the check-out procedure.

2. Rentals are valid for 28 days upon the removal of items from the warehouse and may be extended for subsequent 28-day periods if so required.

3. Stagers/realtor must provide ample notice to The Décor Hub if they believe they will need a rental extension. If no notice has been provided to The Décor Hub within 2 business days of the expiry date, the stager/realtor will be invoiced for an additional 28-day rental.

4. It is the stager/realtor’s responsibility to keep track of their rental expiry date. The rental expiry date will be explicitly noted in the rental invoice upon placing an order. If the stager/realtor
would like the furniture to be removed prior to the rental expiry, the stager/realtor must notify The Décor Hub at least 3 business days prior to the expiry date to ensure the delivery team is able to schedule the pick-up.

5. During check-out, the stager/realtor will be charged 25% of the order total as a down payment for the order. Upon receiving the order, The Décor Hub will send the stager/realtor a pro forma invoice with an item list of the order. During this time, the order can be reviewed & The Décor Hub can make any changes if desired. 

6. Once the order has left the warehouse, the stager/realtor will receive a finalized invoice for the remaining 75% of the order total which is to be paid either by e-transfer or credit card within 48 hours of delivery. 

7. The Décor Hub will schedule deliveries based on availability and cannot guarantee short notice service. Advanced notice is strongly recommended.

8. Orders must be placed earlier than one business day of the delivery date to ensure adequate time for order processing & packing. At most, orders can be placed one week ahead of the delivery date. 

9. While The Décor Hub goes to great lengths to ensure to ensure stock values are accurately represented on the website, The Décor Hub cannot guarantee the availability of items that appear to be available on the website. Once an order has been placed, The Décor Hub staff will confirm the stock of each item on the order & will immediately notify the stager/realtor in case an item is out of stock to arrange a suitable replacement. 

10. Stagers/realtor can gather their reserved rental items in an appropriate area in the warehouse. Fabric items (lamp shades, pillows, etc.) are not to be placed directly on the floor. The Décor Hub staff will then pack orders according to The Décor Hub’s packing procedure.

11. The Décor Hub will deliver in the following delivery areas for their respective fees:

  • ($200) KITCHENER, WATERLOO, CAMBRIDGE, GUELPH, BADEN, BRESLAU, ELMIRA, NEW DUNDEE, NEW HAMBURG, PARIS, PETERSBURG, ST. JACOB’S, BRANTFORD

  • ($250) WELLESLEY, WEST MONTROSE, ELORA, FERGUS, INNERKIP ($600 MINIMUM ORDER)

  • ($300) WOODSTOCK, MILTON, STRATFORD ($800 MINIMUM ORDER)

  • ($350) BURLINGTON, HAMILTON, LISTOWEL, LONDON, MISSISSAUGA, OAKVILLE ($1500 MINIMUM ORDER)

12. Upon delivery, the Décor Hub team will place all large items (sofas, chairs, tables, heavy bins, etc.) in their desired location. It is the stager/realtor’s responsibility to place small items in their
location.

13. For issues of liability, The Décor Hub delivery team will not move or hang any furniture/artwork that are not rental items belonging to The Décor Hub (i.e., furniture/artwork belonging to the homeowner or stager/realtor).

14. If the stager/realtor requires the delivery team to hang artwork on walls, the delivery team can do so for an Artwork Hanging Fee of $100 for up to 60 minutes of service. An additional $100 will be charged for each subsequent 60-minute period of service required thereafter. The Décor Hub asks stagers/realtor to notify the delivery team as early as possible if Artwork Hanging services are required to schedule their time accordingly.

15. The Décor Hub will be responsible to repair any major damage directly caused by their actions. Major damage is categorized as any repair that ends up costing more than $250 based on three quotations.

16. Bins and small item packing material will be left at the property (unless otherwise requested).

17. Upon pick-up, it is the stager/realtor’s responsibility to collect all small items (including pillows & bedding) into a single, central location if possible. Lamp shades should not be removed from their lamps. The delivery team will move the remaining large items and will pack all items according to The Décor Hub’s packing procedure.

18. Stagers/realtor will place a damage deposit fee of 15% of the order total during check-out which will be released within 3 business days of the order being returned, conditional upon the order items returning in the same state in which they were delivered (see below). 

19. Homeowners are to be advised that rental items are to be returned in the same state in which they arrived. The stager/realtor will be charged a replacement fee for any items that are damaged beyond the ability to be repaired back to their original state (due to scratches, pulled threads, urine, etc.). For items returned with repairable cosmetic damage (food/oil stains, etc.), the stager/realtor will be charged the following fees on a per item basis:

• Decorative pillows/throw blankets – $10
• Upholstered dining chairs, benches – $25
• Accent chairs (armless) – $30
• Club/sofa chairs – $50
• Sofa/loveseat – $80
• 5’x7’ rug – $150
• 8’x10’ rug - $200

20. If the Décor Hub delivery team arrives to the property at the agreed upon time and date for delivery and are unable to drop off the rental items due to unpreparedness on the part of the homeowners and/or the stager/realtor, the stagers/realtor will be charged the appropriate delivery fee + $100 restocking fee.

21. It is the stager/realtor’s responsibility to ensure rented items fit/can be used in the property they intend to stage. While The Décor Hub does not encourage the rental of more items than are needed, unused rental items may be returned to the warehouse the same day of the rental start date for no extra fee and will be subtracted from the rental invoice, up to a maximum of 5 items. If a second delivery is required to replace a rental item that was not suitable for the staging, a second Delivery Fee of will be incurred.
